BIT Mesra, Centre for Food Engineering and Technology, Department of Chemical Engineering is currently accepting applications from Indian nationals for the position for Project Associate I in a DBT funded research project with following details:

Vacancy Details

Position Name: Project Associate I

Project Title: Design and development of MAVSV process technology for simultaneous reduction of rancidity-causing enzymes and antinutrients in Millet

Number of Positions: 2

Duration of project: 2 years extendable up to 3 years

Department / Centre: Centre for Food Engineering and Technology, Department of Chemical Engineering

Salary: INR 31,000/-+HRA or 25,000/-HRA for initial 2 year with additional 1 year extension from Institute support only if the student is registered with Institute PhD program

Essential Qualifications

(i) 31,000/-HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Desirable Qualifications: M. Tech in Food Engineering or in allied field. Experience in post-harvest engineering equipment design, modelling and simulation.

Other Conditions

Selected candidates have to mandatorily stay in hostel (if available) and register for Institute PhD program.
