New 24 CFTRI Courses for food technologiest.

The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, an autonomous institute of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has announced 24 new CFTRI courses for year-long training under the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative.

The institute offers 30 regular training programs and short courses each year, including customized programs covering all major areas of Food Science and Technology. These courses are brief but intensive, with lectures and demonstrations conducted by experienced faculty members. State-of-the-art labs and pilot plants at CSIR-CFTRI are used for practical classes and demonstrations. Upon completion, participants receive a participation certificate. These short-term courses are popular with students, academicians, employed individuals, and entrepreneurs who have limited time.


Knowledge of the subject under focus, preferably a basic degree. The medium of presentation and interaction is in English.


Program/course registration opens three months before the scheduled start date. To register, pay a NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee of र1,000/- before filling out the online form.

The training fee covers GST and comes with a registration kit, working lunch, session tea, and participation certificate. To receive the certificate, attendees must have 100% attendance. Once applicants register, they will receive an email notification with the payment details. They need to make the payment within the given time frame to secure their spot in the course.

The Institute offers shared accommodation to a limited number of participants for each program on a first-come, first-served basis. The accommodation fee is र700/- per day per participant, which covers lodging in a non-air-conditioned room and meals such as morning tea, breakfast, and dinner. Check-in and check-out time is at 12:00 noon.

To enroll in our training program, you will need to pay a fee of US $750 for 3-5 working days. If you wish to extend your training, it will cost an additional US $750 for every 5 working days, up to a maximum of 10 working days.

To register, please provide us with a brief one-page curriculum vitae, a signed letter of recommendation from your employer/sponsor indicating who will bear the training fee and international airfare (scanned copy if sponsored), and a copy of your passport.

Please send these documents to at least four months prior to the start of the training program.
