IIT Roorkee has started the online registration process for the upcoming summer internship program. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to visit the official website, iitr.ac.in, for registration.
The deadline for applications is set for April 10, 2024, as stated on the official website. The primary goal of this internship initiative is to offer valuable research opportunities and cultivate the potential of promising undergraduate students.
Eligibility
Students who are presently enrolled and have completed a minimum of two semesters in the undergraduate programs (BArch, BE, BTech, MSc, MA) within a related field from an accredited institution in India.
The following minimum CGPA criterion will apply:
CGPA & 7.5 for IITs and IISc.
CGPA > 8.0 for NITs, IISERs, NISER, IIEST and UM-DAECBS
CGPA > 8.5 for students of other institutes.
According to the official website, applicants are required to submit their applications through a designated online portal, where they will need to upload their latest semester mark sheets, photographs, a 500-word research statement, and a brief 1-2 page resume. Additionally, students from other institutions will need to provide a no-objection certificate upon acceptance.
In addition, applicants are kindly requested to specify the names of five faculty members of their preference from the pool of faculty members seeking summer interns.
How To Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT Roorkee which is iitr.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, under the ‘Career’ tab, click on Inter@IITR (Spark).
Step 3: IIT Roorkee’s internship website will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Apply’ link.
Step 5: Register yourself and fill in the application.
Step 6: Submit your application and take a printout of it for future reference.
