Numerous Coffee Products Recalled due to Concerns Over lethal toxin

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reported that Snapchill LLC is voluntarily recalling all canned coffee products sold under various roaster names due to concerns about a potentially lethal toxin. This recall affects hundreds of coffee products across the country.

On June 17, Snapchill announced a voluntary recall due to concerns that its manufacturing process could result in the growth of botulinum, bacteria that can cause botulism, a severe form of food poisoning.

The affected products were distributed in the US through different coffee roasters and retail outlets, as well as sold directly to customers nationwide on the Snapchill website.

Low-acid canned foods have a higher risk of containing the botulinum toxin. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, botulism can be found in home-canned foods.

The FDA pointed out that the company did not submit the low-acid canned foods process to the agency as required by regulations.

Snapchill has not received any reports of illnesses and is not aware of any cases where their products have contained this pathogen, according to a statement provided to Health. However, in collaboration with the FDA, Snapchill is conducting a voluntary recall.

Coffee Products, Recall due to Fears of Deadly Toxin

The company prioritizes the safety and satisfaction of its customers and is taking quick action to address the issue. Snapchill sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience or worry caused by this recall.

According to the FDA, a variety of coffee roasters and brands sell the canned products that have been recalled. These products come in sizes ranging from 7 oz to 12 oz and can be recognized by either the text ‘Produced and distributed by Snapchill LLC’ below the nutrition facts panel or the label stating ‘Snapchill Coffee’.

The agency advised consumers to either destroy the products or return them to Snapchill or the place of purchase for a refund.

Snapchill will provide full refunds for these products upon submission of proof of purchase, such as a picture of the products before disposal.
