About the role

To manage all production and maintenance activities in the plant to ensure adherence to production schedules and maximize productivity during the shift.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for all production, and maintenance activities.
  • Direct responsibility for delivering production as per the production plan.
  • Direct responsibility for discipline in the work force.
  • Direct responsibility for safety of personnel, facilities and equipment’s.
  • Direct responsibility for adherence to local laws, especially labor laws, fire and explosives, safety, electrical installations, etc.
  • Direct responsibility for ensuring the quality of all products within specifications.
  • Direct responsibility to carry out breakdown maintenance for all equipment within the shortest possible time.
  • Direct responsibility for achieving key indicator goals.
  • Direct responsibility for the allocation of available manpower to various workstations.
  • Direct responsibility to implement the safety systems in the plant area.
  • If any contractor workmen is working in your area then you have the responsibility of issuing the work permits or checking the issued work permits, observing the behavior of workers, checking the PPE compliance and inform to the safety department regarding any discrepancies/non-compliance found in the activity.
  • Direct responsibility for following up the shift reports and ensuring that all the logbooks are filled.
  • Directly responsible to prevent, controlling and minimize the impact of any activity interacting with the environment and in safe conditions.
  • Direct responsibility to ensure wastage reduction in the plant.
  • Direct responsibility to document, implement and monitor a quality assurance system in accordance with KORE system requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Diploma or B.Tech in any discipline from Govt recognized university is must.
  • 12 -15 years’ of experience in any FMCG/Beverages Industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Working exposure of multiple High-Speed Lines – Krones etc.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and training to end users.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals..
  • Knowledge of auditing concepts and principles and having good exposure in clearing audits.
  • Ability to develop and implement audit plans and schedules.
  • Knowledge of current changes and/or developments in applicable central, state, and local laws applicable for the Food & beverage industry.
  • Understanding of IT control environment.
  • Ability to motivate others and promote teamwork.
