Salary
The monthly Base Salary for this role is INR 1,12,202/- with an additional 8.33% of the Base salary allocated towards social security. Furthermore, the employee will receive medical benefits as per WFP’s plan. Any tax obligations related to payments from this agreement will be the responsibility of the recipient.

Qualification
Completion of high school education is required. It is desirable to have a certificate in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Nutrition or Related Field. Possessing a Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Nutrition or a related field would be advantageous.
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive work experience, with at least 2 to 3 years spent working closely in the field of food fortification, is required.
- Previous experience collaborating with government/UN agencies/NGOs is preferred.
- Proficiency in the program cycle management for large-scale food fortification programs with public health goals is essential.
- Proven ability to establish connections with government, private sector, civil society, UN agencies, donors, and research institutions is necessary.
- Experience in capacity building, particularly for government and private sector partners in food fortification, food safety, and quality is important.
- An evidence-based approach. Including experience in research and academic publications, is highly valued.
- Knowledge and experience in the rice, wheat, oil, milk, and salt sectors in India would be considered an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of Nutrition, including an understanding of nutrients.
- Understanding of the current state of food fortification in the nation, including a vision of the government of India on the same.
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership and management.
- Strong analytical skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with an ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities in English. Ability to communicate in the local language of the state is preferred.
Job Purpose
The Senior Programme Associate (Food Fortification) will be responsible for leading WFP’s initiative on rice fortification in the food-based safety nets in the state. They will work under the direct guidance of the mentioned supervisor and the overall supervision of the Head of the Nutrition and school feeding unit. Additionally, they will closely collaborate with the staff of the unit to ensure successful implementation.
