The Senior Manager – QFS (New Product Commercialization) position is responsible for overseeing the operational and technical commercialization of new products and manufacturing lines in the Food and Beverage sector, aimed at advancing the innovation and capacity growth agenda to support the business expansion of the India Business Unit.

This role also ensures that quality and food safety standards are verified during the rollout of new products, qualifying new processes and technologies to guarantee successful commercialization. It is a crucial position for achieving growth objectives by developing and maintaining sustainable capabilities at the site.

This role holds full decision-making authority regarding the safety, stability, and legality of new products and processes. It collaborates with various stakeholders within the organization to drive, verify, and ensure compliance with these standards.

Implementing new initiatives with a ‘First Time Right’ approach while developing a growth pipeline for the food and beverage sector.

Education

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, along with a solid grasp of food and beverage manufacturing.

Experience

Functional Experience: Around 5 to 7 years of experience with a demonstrated history of overseeing food safety in food manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational and technical commercialization of new product launches for the Foods & Beverages sector within the India Business Unit, ensuring that these initiatives are executed on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure that quality standards are endorsed during the rollout of new products, including the qualification of new lines, processes, and technologies, to guarantee successful commercialization that is safe, stable, and compliant with legal requirements.
• Conduct thorough technical assessments to identify any gaps prior to the commercialization of new products and processes in beverage plants.
• Lead efforts to sustain quality and validate new product introductions.
• Direct troubleshooting and subject-matter expert (SME) support initiatives, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
• The primary contact for the BU Supply Chain regarding commercialization, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Innovation, Category, Operations, and Franchise.
• Establishing a solid foundation by ‘Setting the Agenda’ and proactively identifying and addressing ‘Operational Issues’ that may arise during the commercialization of new product developments (NPDs).
• Collaborating with the Documentation Manager to standardize SOPs, documents, and HACCP transfer documents during the initial phases of the commercialization process for innovations.
• Ensuring alignment of the commercialization process across the sector.
• Providing training for shop floor personnel to ensure they possess the necessary skills and take full ownership of production for new product launches and future runs.
