The world’s top snack company runs over 130 sites worldwide.

Expansion at Sri City

According to Venkat Venepally, vice president of supply chain at Mondelez India, the company’s largest manufacturing facility in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa is currently the Sri City factory in Andhra Pradesh, Venepally briefed reporters on this development on Wednesday.

“Currently, we have a capacity of close to one lakh tonne per annum. With the new expansion, we will be adding more variants to the facility,” he said.

Eight varieties of Cadbury chocolate, including Dairy Milk and 5 Star, are produced at the Sri City facility.

The production facility just expanded its offering to include the new desserts range variant.

He stated that the goods produced in Sri City would be supplied domestically, adding that the Rs 1,600 crore in investments planned over the next three to four years would be used to improve the infrastructure.

The Sri City facility was established in 2016 and has continued to grow. Mondelez India operates three factories in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh in addition to Andhra Pradesh.
