Applications are invited for One post at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with a fellowship as per SERB-DST norms in a SERB-DST funded project entitled “Efficacy of natural antimicrobial plant extracts and essential oils in mitigation of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) traits among common bacterial pathogens in food chain system” sanctioned up to three (3) years. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualifications
The candidates should be M.Tech./M.Sc. in Dairy Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology/Biotechnology, Food Safety and Quality Management or Master’s degree in Microbiology/Microbial Biotechnology/Life Science with minimum 55% marks from a recognized University. The candidate should have qualified NET/GATE.
Desirable Qualifications
The candidate with prior hands-on experience in the relevant area of microbiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics and antimicrobial resistance gene studies will be preferred but not a pre-requisite for the post.
Age Limit
The upper Age Limit is 28 Years. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC; 5 years for SC/ST physically Handicapped/Female.
