ICMR-NIN Recruitment in 2024

ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition Hyderabad is seeking online applications from Indian citizens for various positions at ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad.

Nature of Duties

The responsibilities include providing consistent care, feeding, and watering for laboratory animals.

This involves performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, washing, and changing cages.

Additionally, autoclaving bedding material and cages, as well as sweeping and cleaning the floors in animal rooms, are necessary.

Fumigation and disinfection of animal rooms are also part of the job.

Keeping records of environmental conditions and animal care is essential.

Assisting in the preparation of animal feed is another duty.

Finally, other tasks may be assigned by the Head of Department or higher officials in the department.

How To Apply

STEP-1: REGISTRATION PROCESS

• To begin the registration process, visit the official website of the recruiting authority at www.nin.res.in.
• Look for the “ICMR-NIN Recruitment-2024” link and click on it to be redirected to the ICMR-NIN recruitment website.
• Once there, find and click on the “USER REGISTRATION” tab to access the registration page.
• Fill out the registration form with accurate and complete information as required.
• Follow the instructions provided on the page to complete the registration process.
• Double-check all details before submitting the form.
• Upon successful registration, a unique registration number will be generated and sent to the mobile number and email address provided during registration.
• Please note that having a valid personal email ID, mobile number, and Aadhaar number is mandatory throughout the recruitment process.
• Keep your email ID and mobile number active and do not share them with anyone.
• If you do not have a personal email ID, make sure to create one before applying online.
• Regularly check the application website, mobile number, and emails for any updates.

STEP-II: ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT

• To log in, go to the official website of the recruiting authority at www.nin.res.in.
• Find and click on the “ICMR-NIN Recruitment-2024” link on the website to be redirected to the ICMR-NIN recruitment site.
  Look for the “LOGIN” or “SIGN IN” option on the ICMR-NIN recruitment website and click on it to access the login page.
• Enter the registration details you received, such as your registration number and password, on the login page.
• Click on the “Log in” or “SUBMIT” button after entering the required information to proceed.

STEP-III: APPLICATION FILLING.

• To access the application form, select the “FILL APPLICATION” option.
• Carefully read and accurately complete the application form.
• Ensure that all necessary information, including personal details, educational qualifications, work experience, and any other relevant information, is provided.
• Review your information before submitting the application form.
• After completing the application form, click on the “SUBMIT” or “PROCEED TO PAYMENT” button to proceed to the payment details page.
• The important note is Before filling out the online application, the candidate must have their photograph and signature scanned as separate .jpg files.
• Each file should not exceed 500 KB and must be at least 20 KB in size.
• These files will be uploaded during the online form-filling process.

STEP IV: – PAYMENT OF APPLICATION FEE

• To initiate the payment process, click on the “FEE PAYMENT” option.
• Refer to the job advertisement or notification to verify if an application fee is mentioned.
• If an application fee is required, it must be paid.
• Select the appropriate payment method, usually online through options like Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
• Choose your preferred method and proceed by entering the necessary details.
• Follow the instructions provided on the payment page to finalize the transaction.
• Upon successful processing of the payment, you will receive a payment receipt or confirmation.
• It is important to retain the payment receipt or proof for future reference.

Selection Process

WRITTEN EXAMINATION:

• The written exam will be conducted in English only and will last for 90 minutes.
• It will consist of 90 multiple-choice questions, with each question worth one mark.
• During the computer-based test (CBT), candidates may be required to undergo biometric testing or photo matching to prevent impersonation.
• The CBT will be out of 90 marks.
• The candidate’s score in the CBT will carry 95% weightage, while 5% weightage will be given for research, laboratory, or field experience in a recognized or approved or registered government institution or organization, obtained after meeting the essential qualifications mentioned in the recruitment advertisement.
• The 5% weightage for post-essential qualification research, laboratory, or field experience will be added to the candidate’s CBT score.
• For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
• Candidates who have worked extensively during the COVID-19 pandemic will be given additional weightage.
• Based on the written exam, candidates three times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted, subject to their merit marks.
• Shortlisted candidates, including those on the waiting list, will be called for document verification with their original documents on a specified day and time.
• It is important to note that appearing for the written test does not automatically make a candidate eligible for the applied post.
• SC, ST, OBC, and PH candidates who are selected based on their merit, without relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved vacancies.
• They will be accommodated in the general or unreserved vacancies based on their position in the overall merit list or vacancies specifically earmarked for their category, whichever is more advantageous.
• The reserved vacancies will be filled separately from eligible SCs, STs, OBCs, and PH candidates who have lower merit but are otherwise suitable for appointment based on relaxed standards.

REGISTRATION/ EXAMINATION FEE:

• Individuals with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Not required to pay the fee.
• SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Women: 1000/- plus applicable Transaction Charges.
• For all others: 1200/- plus applicable Transaction Charges.
• ICMR employees are not exempt from the Registration Fee.
• Candidates must register separately if applying for multiple positions.
• Note: If notifications are canceled for administrative reasons, the registration fee is non-refundable.

PAYMENT METHOD:
Candidates can pay the application fee through the online payment gateway on the application portal using a Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
