Food Processing Sector in UP Gets Rs 60,000 Crores of Investment

On Wednesday, an official statement revealed that Food Processing Sector in UP Gets Rs 60,000 Crores of Investment from food processing companies like Coca Cola, Reliance Beverages, Balaji Wafer, Dhamapur Bio Organics, Group Bimbo, etc. This significant initiative is anticipated to create over 3,000 job opportunities in Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Sandila, Bareilly, and Baghpat districts.

Multiple prominent corporations are making investment in food processing in additional regions, leading to the creation of numerous job openings within the state, the press release stated.

  • Coca Cola, the renowned global beverage manufacturer, is in the process of setting up its largest bottling facility, SLMG Beverages, in Uttar Pradesh. This ambitious project holds a significant value of Rs 509 crore, will create about 275 jobs in Bijnor.
  • Similarly, Reliance Beverage Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Reliance group, is establishing a beverage production facility in Muzaffarnagar with an investment of Rs 600 crore, which will generate 500 jobs through its beverage manufacturing facility.
  • Balaji Wafer is allocating a sum of Rs 500 crore to establish a comprehensive food processing facility dedicated to potato wafers and traditional Indian snacks in Sandila, Hardoi district. Which will lead to the creation of 1500 jobs in the region.
  • In the same vein, Dhamapur Bio Organics is in the process of establishing a new distillery facility with an investment totaling Rs 350 crore. Which will generate 100 jobs in Bareilly.
  • Likewise, Group Bimbo is setting up an advanced manufacturing facility for premium bread products in India through its subsidiary Ready Roti India. The investment of this plant in Baghpat amounts to Rs 200 crore. creating over 600 jobs, the released stated.

  • Other organizations that are also making investment in the state consist of: Dharma pal Satya pal, Bikaner Vala foods, Happy Internationals, Haldiram snacks manufacturing, Susteen, Fair Exprt (India), Fortune Rice, Brindavan Agro Industries, SPRL Foods, VRS Foods, Amrit Bottlers, ABI Export (India), Shivshrit Foods, Balarampur Chini mills, Triveni Engineering and industries, DCM Shriram, Wave sugar, Tikaula sugar, Kamdhenu cattle, Feeds and Adani Agri logistics.
