Position: Assistant Manager – Corporate Quality (CQA)
Location: Delhi
Function: Quality Assurance
Educational Qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate in Food/Dairy Technology
Experience Required: Minimum 8–10 years in the bakery and dairy industry
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: B.Tech. or Postgraduate degree in Food/Dairy Technology.
- Experience: At least 10 years in a food or dairy manufacturing facility, preferably with exposure to quality and food safety system audits.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manufacturing Unit & Distribution Centre Audits
- Conduct regular quality and food safety audits at manufacturing units and distribution centres.
- Verify compliance with defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify key risks related to food safety and quality.
- Help units upgrade their systems, processes, and infrastructure to fix gaps.
- Link audit results and consumer feedback to improve product quality.
- Communicate audit findings and corrective actions to concerned teams and follow up for closure.
2. Vendor Quality Audits
- Audit ingredient and packaging material vendors for manufacturing quality, food safety systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Support vendors in improving their systems.
- Share findings with purchasing and other stakeholders.
- Track vendor performance and maintain trend analysis reports for continuous improvement.
3. New Unit, Line & Product Approvals
- Assess new manufacturing units or product lines during the construction or commissioning stage.
- Ensure all new units and products meet Britannia’s defined quality and safety standards.
4. Market Quality Evaluation
- Participate in market sample evaluations to compare Britannia products with competitors.
- Identify gaps and support units in addressing process and system improvements.
5. Process Improvement Initiatives
- Analyse quality performance data from various units.
- Initiate and support process improvement projects to close gaps and enhance product consistency.
Desired Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety Systems and ISO 22000 requirements.
- Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
Behavioural Skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and work in a matrix organisation.
- Confident in using data driven arguments to influence decisions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
