Medical and Health Recruitment Board, Assam invites online application from the intending candidates having Indian Citizenship as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for filling up 16 (Sixteen) number of posts of Food Safety Officer under Commissionerate of Food Safety and Drug Administration, Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Assam, as detailed below in the scale of pay and carrying usual allowances as admissible under the Rules of Govt. of Assam. The number of posts including reservation is likely to vary as per requirement in due course of time.
Food Safety Officer Educational Qualification
a. A degree in Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Veterinary Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Masters Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from a recognized University.
OR
b. A Bachelor degree or Masters Degree or Doctorate degree from a recognized University or Institution in the following Disciplines:

Food Safety Officer Salary
Rs. 22,000/- – 97,000/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 9,400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
Age
A candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023 as per Govt. Notification AAP.115/72/Pt.I/194 dated 10/03/2008. The upper age limit is relaxable for the candidates of reserved categories as per existing provision.
I. 5 years for SC/ST candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
II. 3 years for OBC/MOBC Candidates i.e. 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April, 2018.
III. For Persons with Disabilities (PWD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidate as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.144/95/121 dated 28/10/2015.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit card/Certificate issued by a recognize Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned document.

FSO Recruitment Process
The selection procedure will be notified later on by issuing addendum. The Board will decide the procedure for selection in respect of the posts on the basis of the number of applications received.
Application fees for FSO
Application must be accompanied with required application fee of Rs. 250/- (rupees two hundred fifty) only for General category candidates and Rs. 150/- (rupees one hundred fifty) only for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P)/ST (H) candidate. No application fee is required for candidates having BPL certificate and PWD certificate. Application fee may be deposited, through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “0210-Medical and Public Health-01-Urban Health Services-800-Other Receipt”.

Fees can be deposited online using Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS (Website: https://assamegras.gov.in). Candidates may pay the requisites fees (as admissible for the category mentioned above). Printed copy of Treasury Challan generated through GRAS should be submitted at the time of interview. In Remarks column, candidate may write the post applied for.
The fees are not refundable and no other mode of deposit of fee shall be accepted.

b) Candidates must use their mobile number and password to login.
c) After that, candidates can fill up the form for that given post.
d) Once you have submitted the form, no further changes will be applicable.
Terms and Conditions
i. Candidates need not submit any testimonials/certificate at the time of submission of online application. However, candidates have to produce their original testimonials regarding educational qualification, date of birth, caste, PWD, Treasury challan, working experience etc. along with the application form, at the time of interview. Self attested copies of all testimonials/certificates will have to be submitted to the Board at the time of interview.
ii. Application form, which is incomplete in any respect, such as, without photograph and signature, is liable to be rejected summarily.
iii. Only those candidates who fulfill all the terms and conditions of the advertisement in respect of the post for which they are applicants shall be entertained. Others need not apply.
iv. Candidates who are in Govt. service (both State & Central) or in Govt. owned undertaking or other similar organizations etc. shall have to apply through proper channel, NOC is to be submitted in physical form directly to the Secretary, Medical and Health Recruitment Board Assam, ACMR Building, Near O/o the DME, Assam, Six Mile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 and they will have to submit release order at the time of joining.
v. The Board reserves the right to cancel, alter or modify the advertisement or other terms and conditions of the advertisement without any prior notice.
vi. All other matters which are not specially provided in this advertisement shall be decided by the Board.
