Education

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or DIFAT.

Experience

• The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the FMCG sector, specifically in distilleries, breweries, beverages, or food industries.
• They should have practical experience with analytical techniques, as well as the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required.
• The candidate will be responsible for managing quality defects in both incoming and finished goods to ensure customer satisfaction by implementing high-quality standards in products and processes.

Responsibilities

• Foster and promote a culture of food safety and quality within the unit.
• Oversee comprehensive quality monitoring, including incoming inspections and online checks.
• Manage Quality Control and other oversight activities within the factories and for materials.
• Evaluate raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, and finished goods, making acceptance or rejection decisions based on established quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records and update SAP documentation as necessary.
• Facilitate training and development programs for shop floor personnel.
• Conduct internal quality audits for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Receipt Management System (GRMS), and Supplier Quality Improvement Program (SQIP).
• Liaise with government authorities such as FSSAI, LMR, and Excise for audits and compliance matters.
• Ensure that samples of all products are sent to external laboratories and that equipment calibration is performed as required.

• Analyze raw materials and packaging materials, ensuring timely reporting.
• Visit the market as needed for new product assessments, quality surveys, or complaint sample collection.
• Possess street smarts and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Storage Practices (GSP), and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) consistently, along with maintaining 5S standards.
• Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills while managing Management Information System (MIS) data.
• Communicate with vendors regarding rejections and ensure timely handling, collaborating with the site Quality Assurance (QA) team for development.
• Demonstrate a quick learning ability and a proactive attitude in the workplace
