R&D Specification Management will support the Specifications Management teams based in Hyderabad Business Services (HBS) to deliver exceptional service for R&D Spec Management worldwide.
The role requires technical capability to collaborate with local and global employees, and external partners as needed, to create precise Formula, Ingredient, and/or packaging specifications, sustain current specifications and supplier connections, and oversee tracking and inputting into appropriate systems.

Qualification
Candidates should have 2–5 years of professional work experience in the Food/Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
They should demonstrate leadership skills when interacting with Senior Stakeholders and leading small teams, as well as the ability to teach, train, coach, or mentor others in a technical capacity.
Experience in technology system conversion/implementation is preferred.
Candidates should be able to translate complex technical information and seek feasible solutions, be perfect in Microsoft Office Suite, and quickly learn computer applications/programs.
A basic understanding of Food Safety, Microbiology, and Regulatory Affairs is required for Formula and Ingredient Specification roles.
Collaborative skills, the ability to build relationships, and effective communication skills are essential.
Candidates must be able to manage time effectively, have exceptional data organizational and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, and be fluent in English (HBS).
Fluency in Spanish is also required for candidates located in MBS. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, and prior experience in a global shared services environment and/or specifications management space is preferred.
Experience working in a large global CPG company and a track record of identifying and promoting new initiatives and process improvements in ingredient and packaging spec writing is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide necessary system and process training.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and employee development.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to create or change ingredient and packaging specifications.
- Attach to ingredient, supplier, third party, formula, and packaging standards.
- Maintain relationships with R&D spec teams and external suppliers.
- Support various disciplines to ensure accurate specifications.
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Collect and align supplier information.
- Conduct material testing for certain specifications.
- Update existing specs to meet standards.
- Input all documentation into appropriate systems,
- Review and approve packaging specifications.
- Ensure all requests are met within planned timelines,
- Address and expand any critical issues to prevent supply shortages or delays.
