Sensient Technologies is seeking a talented individual to design and drive sensory and consumer understanding activities, ensuring innovation and renovation align with consumer expectations for product experience. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and strategic partners. The candidate will be responsible for building category product insights to inspire and influence the innovation and renovation pipeline and business strategies. They should continuously seek to improve practices and promote agile research, integrating sensory and consumer studies to determine drivers of consumer liking.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Business Segment Lead and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Technical, Application & Creation) to develop effective marketing strategies for the region.
- Provide consumer and sensory insights to innovation and renovation projects.
- Execute proactive consumer and sensory studies in alignment with business priorities, working with the Marketing and Business Segments Leads.
- Play an active role in cross-functional project teams, from front-end innovation to product launch. Transfer consumer sensory insights to the industrialization stage, guiding the development of consumer-centric sensory specifications.
- Partner and guide:
- Sales Team by advising and implementing appropriate CSI methodologies to create successful ideas and concepts for product and capability campaigns.
- Creation and Application Teams in color, flavor, and end-product development to meet customer standards.
- Drive consumer studies by interacting with internal and external customers, commercial teams, category teams, technical teams, and market agencies. Design and plan consumer and sensory tests, define research approaches, supervise fieldwork, analyze consumer data, and validate flavor submissions.
- Statistically analyze sensory and consumer research data to understand the product sensory landscape, consumer acceptance, preference, and attitudes driving liking.
- Work closely with the Sales Director, GM, and other sensory team members to promote CSI expertise and services across the region. Generate key customer briefs and provide sensory training based on business needs, internally and externally.
- Be part of the Global CSI network and collaborate with the global team to support global initiatives, including exploring and testing new CSI tools and approaches, establishing best practices, and sharing success stories.

Education & Experience
- Advanced degree (Master’s or higher degree preferred) in Sensory Science, Food Science, Market Research, Consumer Behavior, and Statistics.
- Familiarity with statistical treatment and data interpretation, as well as proficiency in MS Office.
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG, F&F House, or Market Research Industry.
- Prior experience in leading sensory trained/expert or external consumer panels and interacting with market agencies for questionnaire design.
- Ability to work smart and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills. Able to manage projects creatively and independently.
