Job Location and Role

  • Position: Food Application Development Scientist
  • Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3 years

The selected candidate will work closely with the R&D team to develop food and beverage applications using StrainX’s specialty ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve food and beverage products using StrainX ingredients.
  • Conduct trials for beverages, dairy alternatives, bakery, confectionery, snacks, and nutraceutical products.
  • Study ingredient behavior such as sweetness, solubility, stability, flavor, texture, and compatibility with different food systems.
  • Support internal tastings and sensory evaluation panels to assess product quality and consumer acceptance.
  • Prepare application data sheets, prototype samples, and technical documents for customers.
  • Support customer trials, pilot runs, and B2B product integration.
  • Work closely with fermentation, analytical, and processing teams to share feedback and improve products.
  • Ensure formulations meet FSSAI guidelines and relevant global food regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • M.Sc./B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Food Chemistry, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in food product or application development.
  • Strong knowledge of ingredient interactions, sensory science, stability studies, and prototype development.
  • Experience working with sweeteners, proteins, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, flavors, or alternative proteins.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with precision-fermented ingredients.
  • Knowledge of clean-label or plant-based product development.
  • Familiarity with nutraceutical, functional food, or RTD beverage formulation.
  • Sensory panel handling experience.
