Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Head will lead the entire quality function of the company. The role involves creating a fully digital, audit ready Quality Management System (QMS) for all product categories like Ghee, Snacks, Chikki, Grocery, and Export items. This is a leadership role, reporting directly to the Director of Operations & Compliance.

Experience Required: Minimum 3–4 years in Food QA/QC

Salary: ₹6,00,000 per year

Joining: Immediate joiners preferred

Key Responsibilities

1. SOPs and Specifications

Develop and regularly update SOPs for all operations, including procurement, production, packaging, warehousing, and exports.
Set quality standards and specifications for each product based on its target market.

2. Quality Control

Build monitoring systems for checking raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and final products.

3. Labelling and Documentation

Ensure labels follow rules of FSSAI, EU, UK, USA (FDA), and FSANZ.
Maintain label content, product manuals, and QR-based traceability.

4. ERP-Based Quality Management

Implement digital quality systems using ERP.
Keep digital records of tests, approvals, photos, and non-conformities.

5. Training and Process Validation

Conduct training for QA/QC, production, warehouse, and dispatch teams.
Use ERP workflows for approvals and version control.

6. Export Quality and Documentation

Prepare COA, product questionnaires, allergen statements, and shelf-life reports for export markets.

7. Audit and Certification Readiness

Prepare the company for audits like BRCGS, ISO 22000, and FSSAI.
Coordinate with auditors and manage CAPA reports.

8. FSMP and Quality Policy

Create and update the company’s food safety and crisis management plans.
Maintain protocols for recalls, allergen control, and hygiene.

9. Cross Functional Support

Work with NPD and R&D teams on regulatory support, packaging approval, and shelf-life studies.

Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or related fields.
Experience in QA/QC with leadership exposure.
Strong knowledge of FSSAI, BRCGS, ISO 22000, and international labelling rules.
Hands-on exposure to ERP and digital quality systems.
Good communication and audit-handling skills.
