The Kenko Life is a health first food startup based in Bengaluru, has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round. The round was led by Rainmatter, the health focused investment arm of Zerodha, with additional support from angel investor Aniketh Jain, Co-founder of Kaleyra. The investment will help the company strengthen its foundation and prepare for its next stage of expansion.
Young Startup With Rapid Growth
Founded in 2023 by Neeraj Kumar and Vivek Chandran, The Kenko Life focuses on providing clean, calorie counted meals for everyday consumers. The startup currently serves over 800 active subscribers, delivers more than 21,000 meals every month, and operates four cafés across Bengaluru. The team aims to make healthy eating convenient, enjoyable, and accessible for busy urban lifestyles. With the new funding, The Kenko Life will expand its presence in Bengaluru and begin operations in Hyderabad. The company will invest in improving its kitchens, last mile delivery, and developing a dedicated mobile app for personalised meal recommendations. It will also introduce new product lines such as clean-ingredient desserts and high-protein, calorie counted Indian thalis. The startup plans to focus on research-backed nutrition, eco friendly packaging, and educating consumers about mindful eating.
Future Roadmap for the Next 18–24 Months
Over the next two years, The Kenko Life plans to operate six cafés, launch its consumer app, and introduce two major new meal categories:
- Low-calorie, no sugar, high protein desserts
- High-protein Indian thali meals
The startup hopes these additions will support people looking for healthy, tasty, and convenient everyday food. Zerodha Founder and CEO Nithin Kamath said Rainmatter is committed to supporting startups that improve health and nutrition in India. He praised The Kenko Life for making healthy food tasty, affordable, and accessible, something that is often missing in the Indian market. According to him, Kenko is helping more people adopt clean and nutritious eating habits without feeling restricted.
