The Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), a part of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, focuses on research and development to meet the food requirements of the supply Forces in challenging environments.
DFRL conducts advanced research in Food Science and Technology, including developing long shelf-life ready-to-eat foods, food preservation techniques, innovative food packaging materials, and test kits for detecting food spoilage.
The laboratory also works on creating functional and stress-relieving foods using natural plant materials. DFRL is equipped with advanced analytical and food processing facilities.
DFRL is seeking applications from talented and driven Indian Nationals for the DRDO Research Associate (RA) position to contribute to ongoing and upcoming research projects at DFRL, Mysore.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test or interview at the Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore.

No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the written test or interview.
Candidates may bring a project report or demonstrate their technical work in support of their education.

1. The duration of the Research Associate position is limited to a period of two years.
2. Eligibility for the aforementioned position will be assessed based on the applicant’s qualifications as of the last date of application submission.
