Reliance Consumer Products has officially entered the packaged foods market by relaunching SIL is a food brand with a legacy of more than 75 years. The announcement was made on December 16, following Reliance’s acquisition of the brand earlier this year. With this move, Reliance Consumer Products marks its first major step into the fast-growing packaged foods segment.
SIL has been positioned as the flagship foods brand of Reliance Consumer Products. The company said the relaunch lays the foundation for building a strong and future-ready food portfolio. The refreshed brand combines traditional flavours loved by generations with modern taste, quality, and value expectations of today’s Indian consumers.
Wide Product Range Across Everyday Food Categories
The new SIL portfolio includes products across several popular food categories such as noodles, jams, ketchups, sauces, and spreads. According to the company, this range reflects a comprehensive approach to meeting daily household food needs.
SIL’s noodles range will be launched in four variants Masala, Atta with Veggies, Korean K Fire, and Chow Chow. The products are priced affordably, with prices starting at Rs 5, making them accessible to a wide range of consumers.
SIL Ketchup is made from real tomatoes and does not contain artificial ingredients or synthetic colours. It will be available in packs starting at Rs 1. SIL Mixed Fruit Jam is prepared using eight real fruits and contains 22 percent more fruit content. It will be sold in 100 g, 200 g, and 500 g packs, starting at Rs 22.
Reliance Consumer Products stated that the relaunched SIL range is backed by extensive consumer research and focuses on using natural and quality ingredients. The aim is to offer modern convenience while retaining the nostalgic taste that Indian families remember.
