Job Description

Full time (Full Remote)

Experience

3-4 years’ experience in Analytical laboratory to work independently in developing & standardizing new methods, Set up Micro lab and methods for application of microbes in foods.

Educational Qualification

  • M.S/ M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Food Technology/ Food Science/Bio-chemistry Food Microbiology.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and operate effectively within a network matrix organization

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership and responsibility of the task assigned (technical / non-technical)
  • Responsible for planning and execution of own work in accordance with guidelines from TL and ITS, and communication of the results
  • Ability to work independently on the task assigned, conduct experiments & evaluate trial data, infer on the outcome, plan for further alternate steps/ actions, provide insights to share with customers.
  • Carry out own experimental work involving established methods to meet specific team/project goals.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment in good working order through calibration, maintenance, upgrades
  • Candidate will be challenged with the scientific complexity of the project, involving interaction with cross-functional teams
  • Responsible to identify, evaluate, develop, and standardize various analytical methods along with data validation and documentation of the method as per QMS standards.
  • Responsible for setting up Microbial food application lab
  • Responsible to establish and standardize microbial handling, isolation, extraction, enumeration, disposal methods.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in analytical techniques and methodologies, with extensive experience in laboratory management and quality control
  • A strong background in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, food science, or a related field with relevant exposure to AOAC, IUPAC methods for analysis
  • Instrumentation: Method development sample analysis, data interpretation and troubleshooting in chromatographic methods like HPLC, GC, LCMS; Spectrophotometer, Colourimeters, Haze & turbidity meters, Automated continuous flow analysers.
  • Well versed with all Food proximate composition analysis methods
  • Well versed with quality, safety requirements for establishing micro- lab for handling various microbes and related methods.
  • Being creative, Fast learner and good problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative and a good team player
  • You thrive on challenges and enjoy working proactively with other groups within the company.
  • Good command over English in reading and writing.
    Computer literate.
  • Basic Statistics and Data analysis
