Pashupati Kumar Paras (Union Food Processing Minister) proposed to setup Food Processing Institute – NIFTEM (National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management) in Bihar. This suggestion is welcomed by Syed Shahnawaz Hussain (Bihar Industries Minister).
It will be established between between Muzaffarpur and Patna. Search for 100 acer land will be done by state government. Bihar’s planned NIFTEM will be the 3rd in the India.
NIFTEM is a higher education institute deemed university working under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government Of India.
Currently 2 NIFTEM present in India.
