About Role
The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing projects, delivering results with guidance, and writing technical reports.
The role will involve conducting consumer research, analyzing data, and interpreting results using statistical knowledge.
Additionally, the candidate will lead descriptive panels, recruit and train panelists, and interact with colleagues at all levels.
May also have supervisory responsibilities and work on teams to evaluate and implement new methodologies.
Ensuring the efficiency and safety of the sensory laboratory will also be part of the responsibilities, including maintaining quality systems and upholding high standards of work and safety.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with various departments (PD, PKG, MKT, CI, etc.) to gain a complete understanding of the business and project requirements.
Develop a comprehensive consumer learning plan and execute thorough research to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
Take charge of both qualitative and quantitative consumer and sensory research, including protocol development, fieldwork supervision, data analysis, and result interpretation.
Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate research findings and contribute to the decision-making process. Ensure projects are completed on time and with exceptional quality.
Supervise research agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality research.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to initiate and be responsible for sensory and consumer work for various projects.
Offer brief direction to the team regarding product/package development strategies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of necessary testing.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in food science/engineering or related fields.
Experience
5+ work experience in sensory and consumer (both qualitative and quantitative) research Interested in food
Good skills in project management, communication, collaboration, influencing, initiative
