Gwalior man admitted to hospital after drinking water from fake ‘Bisilleri’ Bottle

Nadeem Khan, a resident of Gwalior, fell critically ill as soon as he consumed water from a packaged and sealed water bottle labelled as ‘Bisilleri’.

At present, he is in a critical condition and has been admitted in the ICU.

According to information, the victim Nadeem Khan, a resident of Aapaganj in Gwalior purchased bottled water from Sheetla Dairy.

He had such serious health problems after drinking from the bottle that he needed to be sent to the hospital right away.

He was brought to Jayarogya Hospital in Gwalior by his relatives, where he is reportedly in serious condition and receiving treatment in the ICU.

Tahir Khan, Nadeem’s brother, highlighted that despite the packaging resembling a popular brand, closer inspection revealed it to be a counterfeit (confusing ‘Bisilleri’ with ‘Bisleri’).

The family preserved the bottle as evidence and promptly notified Bahodapur police station. Upon opening the bottle, they detected a foul odor, and Nadeem’s health rapidly declined post- consumption.

The police have taken the matter into cognizance and registered a case regarding the incident. An investigation is underway to address this serious issue of fake bottled water being sold in the market.

In fake products, they just play with the letters and change spelling to fool the consumers.

Infact the packaging of the bottles are also alike.

For example:

Real Product: Bisleri

Fake Product: Bisilleri, Bislari, Belseri, Bilseri, Brislei. etc.
