LT Foods Launches ‘DAAWAT I’m Organic’ Rice Range in India

LT Foods Ltd has expanded its consumer food portfolio with the launch of a new organic range called ‘DAAWAT I’m Organic’. The company aims to meet the growing demand for verified and high quality organic food among Indian consumers. The new range includes Organic Basmati Rice and Organic Sona Masoori Rice, focusing on the premium staples segment. With this launch, LT Foods is strengthening its presence in the organic food category under its flagship DAAWAT brand. While organic foods already contribute around 11 percent to the company’s global revenue, India is becoming an important market for expansion, especially in premium rice varieties. The company is targeting health conscious and quality focused consumers who prefer natural and responsibly sourced food products.

‘True, Tested, Traceable’ Quality Promise

The DAAWAT I’m Organic range is built around the promise of “True, Tested, Traceable”. LT Foods states that the rice is grown using responsible farming methods and tested at different stages to ensure quality and safety. To improve transparency, each pack carries a QR code on the front. By scanning the code, consumers can view details about the product’s journey, including the place of cultivation, land testing, certification, processing, storage, and final packaging.

Vacuum Packaging and Quality Assurance

The organic rice is vacuum packed to maintain freshness and purity for a longer time. This packaging method helps protect the product from contamination and supports longer shelf life. The range is also backed by several national and international certifications, including USDA Organic, India Organic, OneCert, Jaivik Bharat, and ADITI, ensuring compliance with organic standards.

Availability on Digital Platforms

The DAAWAT I’m Organic products will be available on major e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. This move aligns with changing shopping habits, as more consumers in urban and semi urban areas prefer buying groceries online. The digital presence is expected to help the brand reach a wider audience and improve accessibility.

Company Leaders Share Their Views

Ritesh Arora, CEO India Business and Far East, LT Foods Ltd, stated that the company views organic food as a long-term commitment to integrity and transparency. He said that the new range raises standards in the organic category by ensuring every claim is backed by proper verification.

K. Ganapathy Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, LT Foods Ltd, said that modern consumers want to understand where their food comes from. He added that the ‘True, Tested, Traceable’ approach is designed to answer these questions and build trust.

With the launch of DAAWAT I’m Organic, LT Foods aims to strengthen its position in the premium rice market while responding to rising demand for clean, transparent, and organic food choices. The company, which reported consolidated revenue of around ₹8,773 crore in FY25, continues to focus on innovation and quality to drive long term growth. The new range reflects LT Foods’ efforts to combine traditional farming values with modern technology and consumer expectations.
