Learn Coffee Brewing at CFTRI’s BioNEST, Mysuru

BioNEST at CFTRI in partnership with the Coffee Quality Division of the Coffee Board of India, is organising a five day Barista Training Program called A Bean to Brew Journey – Master the Basics of Brewing.

Who Can Apply

  • Anyone who has completed 12th standard and wants to learn professional coffee making skills can join.
  • It is a non-residential, hands-on course conducted in English. Lunch and coffee will be provided everyday.

What You Will Learn

Participants will get both theory and practical training on key coffee skills:

  • Espresso Basics – Learn about grind size, extraction, and tamping.
  • Milk Frothing & Latte Art – Create smooth microfoam and beautiful designs.
  • Customer Service – How to connect with customers and serve quality drinks.
  • Coffee Knowledge – From bean origins to flavour notes.
  • Equipment Care – Maintain espresso machines and grinders.
  • Hygiene & Safety – Keep your workspace clean and safe.
  • Certification – Receive a certificate from the Coffee Board of India.
