Iconic chip brand, Lay’s, is embracing the “Swicy” food trend with the launch of their new Sweet & Spicy Honey potato chips.
This unique flavor, launched during the month of love, celebrates the opposites attract principle, hoping to win over fans who enjoy a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy.
“We’re always looking for new trends to inspire our flavors,” said Tina Mahal, Senior Vice President of Marketing at PepsiCo Foods North America.
“The Swicy trend is everywhere, from sauces to drinks to restaurant menus, so we’re excited to be the first to offer this unique flavor combination in a chip form.”
Lay’s has even partnered with celebrity couple Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed-Hamilton from the show “Love is Blind” to promote the new flavor as an “amazing meal for special date nights.”
“Our Swicy recipe perfectly reflects our personalities, with my spicy side and Cameron’s love for the sweet,” said Speed-Hamilton. “We love that Lay’s is encouraging couples to spice things up and get Swicy in the kitchen!”
The Sweet & Spicy Honey chips are available in two sizes and are currently hitting shelves nationwide.
