Education
Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- The main responsibility of this position is to ensure that the products meet and exceed quality standards and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that product labels and marketing materials adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Additionally, the position will guide cross-functional partners in project teams, such as commercial marketing, legal, and product development.
- The individual in this role will also monitor the regulatory environment and stay informed about trends in the local and international domain that may impact our products and business.
- They will implement changes to optimize compliance within the required timeframe.
- Contributing to the foundation of the Regulatory team is another important aspect of this position.
- This includes maintaining compliance tools, updating policies and procedures, and continuously attempting to improve to quicken product launches.
- The individual will also facilitate the sharing of regulatory knowledge through the development and maintenance of a strong regulatory and scientific affairs network, as well as providing training.
- Familiarity with Quality and Food Safety Management systems is necessary for this role. Regular inspections and audits will be conducted to identify and address potential quality and regulatory compliance issues.
- Experience in FSSAI audit, international audits, ISO 22000:2018, ISO 9000:2015, etc. is required.
- Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure a united approach to quality and compliance throughout the organization.
- Accurate and up-to-date records related to quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities will be maintained.
- Reports will also be prepared and submitted to regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Furthermore, this position will provide training to employees on quality assurance protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Opportunities for process improvements in quality assurance and regulatory compliance will be identified with the help of SOPs and flowcharts.
Required Skills
Proven experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within the food industry.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations of India and international countries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and social skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
