Education
Responsibilities
Create and develop new products from concept to market launch while adhering to cost and labeling requirements.
Evaluate ingredients, nutritional profiles, and product stability to meet design specifications.
Establish and implement new process parameters as needed.
Identify and implement opportunities for product and process improvement and cost savings.
Maintain accurate and secure documentation and records.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to remain competitive.
Develop lab-scale prototypes and conduct analytical tests on taste and odor.
Provide expertise and recommendations for production trials and product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
Utilize food science knowledge to ensure product safety and quality.
Participate in commercialization scale tests with QA and commercialization teams.
Required Skills
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
They should have a fundamental understanding and the capability to utilize flavors, stabilizers, and other essential ingredients.
The ideal candidate should also demonstrate tolerance and flexibility, being able to work effectively for extended periods when necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation abilities, are required.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
Additionally, the candidate should be a good team player, self-starter, and self-motivated.
