- FSSAI has Proposed to Conduct the Eat Right Millets Mela at Hyderabad on 29/01/2023 In collaboration With the Cyclathon event arranged by HBC (Hyderabad Bicycling Club) and Ministry of Tourism as Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav.
- United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has declared 2023 as the International Year of Millet IYoM 2023, FSSAI is promoting and popularizing millets
- Eat Right Millet Mela is envisioned as massive outreach to citizens to celebrate the International Year of Millets 2023 and build awareness of safe food and healthy diets through an Interactive and Informative Model.
