DRDO-DIBT is Hiring : Apply Now for RA & JRF

The Defence Institute of Biodefence Technologies (DIBT), Mysore, operating under the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has invited applications for Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellowships (JRF). The institute focuses on developing advanced detection technologies for food-borne pathogens, toxins of biodefence importance, and military nutrition.

Available Positions

Research Associate (RA)

• Vacancy: 01
• Discipline: Food Science & Technology / Food Processing Engineering / Food Engineering & Technology / Food Engineering
• Qualification:
  • PhD in the relevant discipline, OR
  • M.Tech in the relevant discipline with 3 years of research experience and at least one publication in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal).
• Stipend: ₹67,000 + HRA per month
• Age Limit: 35 years (Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC)
• Tenure: 2 years

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

• Vacancy: 01
• Discipline: Food Science & Technology / Food Technology / Food Science / Food Process Engineering / Food Science & Nutrition (01 post):
  • Postgraduate degree in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE, OR
  • M.Tech in 1st Division.
• Stipend: ₹37,000 + HRA per month
• Age Limit: 28 years (Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC)
• Tenure: Initially 2 years, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.

Selection Process

• A written test (objective type, multiple choice questions) may be conducted for shortlisting candidates.
• Final selection will be based on interview performance.
• A panel of selected candidates will be prepared for current and anticipated vacancies, valid for one year.

Application Procedure

• Candidates employed in Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during the interview.
• Applicants must carry original certificates, one set of photocopies, and a valid ID proof (Aadhar/Passport/Driving License) at the time of the interview.

• Last Date to Apply: 27 September 2025
• Selection for RA/JRF does not mean a permanent job in DRDO.
• No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview or joining.
• The final decision will be taken by the Centre Head, DIBT, Mysore.
