APEDA Recruitment 2025: Vacancies for Assistant Managers and Other Posts

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has announced recruitment for several Group A and Group B posts. APEDA, established through an Act of Parliament in December 1985, plays a crucial role in promoting the export of agricultural and processed food products.

Vacancies and Eligibility

Group A – Pay Level 10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)

1. Assistant General Manager (Agriculture)

• No. of Posts: 8 (5 Unreserved, 1 SC, 2 OBC)
• Age Limit: 35 years
• Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plantation, Agriculture Engineering, Agriculture & Cooperation, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Dairy Technology, Food Processing, Food Processing Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, or Food Science & Technology from a recognized university/institution.
• Experience: Five years’ post-qualification experience in relevant fields.

2. Assistant General Manager (Business Promotion)

• No. of Posts: 2 (Unreserved)
• Age Limit: 35 years
• Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, International Trade, Agriculture Business Management, Horticulture Business Management, Agriculture Marketing, Horticulture Marketing, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy or Agricultural Economy from a recognized university/institution.
• Experience: Five years’ post-qualification experience in relevant fields.
• Desirable: Publication of papers in international journals.

3. Assistant General Manager (Finance)

• No. of Posts: 1 (Unreserved)
• Age Limit: 35 years
• Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Finance/Financial Management/MBA (Finance) from a recognized university/institution OR Chartered Accountancy from ICAI.
• Experience: Five years’ post-qualification experience.

4. Assistant General Manager (Information Technology)

• No. of Posts: 1 (Unreserved)
• Age Limit: 35 years
• Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology from a recognized university/institution.
• Experience: Five years’ post-qualification experience.

Group B – Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400)

5. Assistant Manager (Agriculture)

• No. of Posts: 1 (EWS)
• Age Limit: 30 years
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plantation, Agriculture Engineering, Agriculture & Cooperation, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Dairy Technology, Food Processing, Food Processing Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, or Food Science & Technology.

6. Assistant Manager

• No. of Posts: 4 (3 Unreserved, 1 OBC)
• Age Limit: 30 years
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in the same fields as above.

7. Junior Hindi Translator

• No. of Posts: 1 (Unreserved)
• Age Limit: 30 years
• Qualification:
  • Master’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium at degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree in English with Hindi as compulsory/elective subject or medium at degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi medium and English as compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree in any subject with English medium and Hindi as compulsory/elective subject at degree level; OR
  • Master’s degree with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as medium and the other as compulsory/elective subject at degree level.
• Additional: Recognized diploma/certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa OR two years’ translation experience in Central/State Government offices.

Selection Procedure

The selection process for all posts generally includes:

• Written test (objective and/or descriptive) to assess subject knowledge, general awareness, and reasoning ability.
• Skill test/translation test (where applicable, e.g., for Junior Hindi Translator).
• Interview, if specified, mainly for higher-level posts.

Final selection is based on merit and subject to document verification of educational qualifications, experience, and category certificates (if applicable).

• Fee Payment: Through online mode in a single transaction. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
• Last Date to apply is 14/07/2025.

• Age and experience relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority, especially if suitable SC/ST candidates aren’t available.
