Cockroach Found in Air India Flight Meal, Passanger Suffers from Food Poisoning.

On September 17, a passenger on an Air India aircraft from Delhi to New York claimed to have discovered a cockroach in her breakfast.

A video of the insect in Suyesha Savant’s omelette was shared on Instagram when she was traveling with her 2-year-old child. Since Savant, it has gained widespread attention on social media and prompted an airline response.

She and her small child had eaten more than half of the meal by the time the insect was discovered. Savant thus claimed to be feeling ill, exhibiting signs of food poisoning.

“We had barely started our 15-hour journey when I discovered a cockroach in my first breakfast meal,” Savant wrote, expressing her shock. She added, “What made it worse was that I had fed the same meal to my 2-year-old. I felt sick to my stomach.”

Her complaint quickly gained public and media attention, bringing attention to issues with food quality and hygiene on lengthy flights.

Air India’s response

A spokesman for Air India responded to the incident by acknowledging Savant’s allegation and assuring the public that the company was investigating the matter thoroughly.
