As part of this new phase, actor Mrunal Thakur has been introduced as the brand’s new ambassador, symbolizing today’s confident and expressive Indian consumer.

The new version of Galaxy has been created to match the changing tastes of young Indian shoppers. These consumers prefer chocolates that feel premium, authentic, and emotionally satisfying. The marketing campaign for the relaunched Galaxy, developed by DDB Tribal, includes a series of short films. Each film portrays different women enjoying simple, joyful moments in their everyday lives. Through these stories, Mrunal Thakur encourages people to “Take Pleasure” a reminder to enjoy small, spontaneous moments, whether it’s dancing, relaxing, or enjoying quiet time alone.
What Mars Wrigley Says About the Relaunch
Nikhil Rao, Chief Marketing Officer of Mars Wrigley India, shared that today’s Indian woman handles ambition, relationships, and identity on her own terms. However, she often forgets to take time for herself. According to him, the new, creamier Galaxy chocolate serves as a gentle reminder that self-care is important and should be a part of daily life. Anant Agarwal, Strategic Demand Manager, explained that the new Galaxy blends indulgence with individuality. He said it is designed for consumers who enjoy chocolate not just for taste but because it reflects their personality and lifestyle.
Rahul Mathew, Chief Creative Officer at DDB Mudra Group, said the idea was to place women at the center of their own “galaxy” and empower them to enjoy life confidently. Anusheela Saha, Creative Head at DDB Tribal, called the campaign a tribute to effortless self-indulgence. She said it encourages people to stop striving for perfection and instead embrace who they are.
