Lotte India Appoints Debabrata Mukherjee as Managing Director of Havmor Ice Cream

Lotte India Corporation has announced the appointment of Debabrata Mukherjee as the new Managing Director of its Havmor Ice Cream division. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the brand’s overall strategy, growth, and innovation across India’s competitive ice cream market. Mukherjee brings with him over 30 years of experience in leadership, marketing, strategy, and operations. Before joining Lotte, he served as the Managing Director and CEO of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) and held key leadership positions at The Coca-Cola Company in India, South Korea, and Southwest Asia.

As the new MD, Mukherjee will guide Havmor’s expansion plans, strengthen brand strategy, and drive product innovation to reach a wider consumer base. He takes over from Komal Anand, who recently moved on to head another ice cream enterprise. In a statement, Mukherjee said he was pleased to join Lotte India and looked forward to enhancing Havmor’s legacy while driving future growth and innovation in the Indian market.

The appointment reflects Lotte India’s commitment to deepening its focus on the ice cream category, utilizing Mukherjee’s expertise in scaling brands and managing consumer centric businesses. Founded in 1944 and acquired by Lotte in 2017, Havmor has established a strong foothold across the Indian market. Under Mukherjee’s leadership, the company is expected to boost innovation, strengthen distribution, and expand its footprint across both metropolitan and emerging markets.
