Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev on Sunday laid the foundation stone for RCC Nutrafill’s Food Processing and Life Sciences Manufacturing Facility in Angamaly. The launch ceremony, which also included a traditional bhoomi pooja, marks the beginning of Kerala’s first integrated food and life sciences hub. The upcoming hub will bring together cold storage, warehousing, research and development, logistics, and facilities for handling life sciences and FMCG products. According to RCC Nutrafill, the project is designed to set new standards in innovation, quality, and sustainable manufacturing.
Government’s Support
Minister Rajeev said the project shows Kerala’s commitment to industrial growth powered by innovation and advanced technology. He assured full government support to Nutrafill’s plans, aiming to make the hub a benchmark for modern manufacturing in the state.
As the project is spread over five acres, it will need an investment of ₹100 crore. The first phase is expected to be completed within 24 months. Once operational, the facility is projected to generate 500 direct and indirect jobs in two phases.

RCC Nutrafill Director Sai Devarajulu Prasad expressed gratitude to the Kerala government for its support. He said the facility will help strengthen Kerala’s role in the food processing and life sciences sectors, while also focusing on local employment, skill development, and sustainable industry practices.
