Start Up Grand Challenge in Food Sector 3.0

India is looking for new and smart ideas to improve the food industry. The Start Up Grand Challenge in Food Sector 3.0 is here to support startups that want to bring change with their unique ideas. This program is organized by the Government of India through DPIIT, MoFPI, and Bharat StartUp Grand Challenge.

The challenge is a part of World Food India 2025 and supports the International Year of Cooperatives. This is a great chance for startups to:

What Are the Main Topics (Problem Statements)?

Startups can apply if they are working on these four topics:

  1. Smart or Eco-Friendly Packaging: Creating packaging that is safe for the environment or keeps food fresh for longer.
  2. AI and Sensors for Small Food Businesses: Using technology to help small food companies work faster, better, and with less waste.
  3. New Protein Sources with Better Nutrition: Making healthy protein from plants, fungi, or lab-grown methods with all the important nutrients.
  4. Food Safety and Tracking Systems: Building tools to make sure food is safe and can be tracked from factory to plate.
