The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, a premier institute of national importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a cutting-edge research project focused on food process engineering.

Job Description

The JRF will be responsible for conducting advanced research and development tasks related to the approved objectives of the AI-based extruder project. The candidate is also expected to register and pursue a Ph.D. at NIT Rourkela on the same research topic.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

  • B. Tech in Food Process Engineering / Food Technology / Food Engineering / Food Science and Technology
  • Minimum CGPA: 6.5/10 or 60% aggregate
  • Candidates must have qualified GATE or other national-level exams recognized by DST, DBT, CSIR, UGC, ICAR, ICMR, etc.

Desirable Qualification:

Experience/Knowledge in:

    • Machine Design
    • CAD Modeling
    • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
    • Handling single/twin screw extruders
